Today students read a 2005 article about the Emmett Till case. Students used a Think-Link chart to interact with the text. They highlighted portions of the article and wrote in the 3 chart columns: “I noticed…”, “I wonder…”, and “This reminds me of….” (Observations, Questions, Connections). Students were also to answer 2 questions at the end of the article. If time allowed, we began class discussion.
HW: Finish Observations, Questions, and Connections and the 2 questions. Be prepared to discuss tomorrow.
