Okay – this one is going to be tough!!  But it is worth five points on your Poem Book project (or test grade of your choice)  to anyone who does it!  That means everyone could possibly get the points!  You have until midnight, May 12th to submit!

Challenge: Write a cinquain that has a rhyme pattern of ABCBA and each line must be alliterative!  Take your time and be sure to meet all 3 pieces of criteria.  I’m not going to give you any more explanation than that… but your poem packet has info that will help!  Good Luck! :)

AHH!! I did my poem at school yesterday and i turned it in, but somehow i forgot that the last line needs 2 sylobels (spelling?)…and you said i could retype it. But, i didnt write it down =[ soo can i change the first word to Ocean and Last word to Motion? Sorry =\. See you 5th period.
Thanks, Natalie

Ok – most of you had trouble meeting all 3 criteria… a cinquain has 5 lines, with 2, 4, 6, 8, 2, syllables per line, respectively. the 1st and 5th lines were to rhyme with each other (A), and the 2nd and 4th (B).
And each line was to have some alliteration. Here is an example of a poem meeting all the criteria:

running
sweaty soothing
timing tiring tough
stay steady and strong from the start
road race
