Today we focused on 2 types of Japanese poems, Haiku and Tanka.   In the poetry packet, students completed the pages for both of these.   Students wrote 4 Haiku, at least 3 of which needed to be original (their own creation) and 1 could be chosen from the collections shared in class.  At least 1 needed to focus on things from the natural world, as Haiku traditionally do.  We also wrote 2 Tankas (in spaces provided in packet).   Please make sure you are following the guidelines and descriptions for creating each type of poem.  (syllables!)

HW:  Just finish classwork poems  ~Siyonara!~ :)
