Today we contemplated (and hopefully answered) 3 questions about the GWTW movie while we watched another portion of it. We will discuss the students’ answers on Thursday. The questions focused on the author’s perspective, historical context, and themes. 1) How do you think M. Mitchell’s being from GA influenced her telling of this story? 2) What was the period in U.S. history shown in the movie today known as? 3) What themes do you see present in the story?
