Today we had our Idiom Quiz. Then students finished reading chapter 3 silently. In a couple classes we began ch 4 together aloud. Each student was given a packet of study questions which we worked on a little in class. These chapter questions will serve as a comprehension check and a study guide.
HW: Outsiders Idiom worksheet “Making Heads of Tails of Idioms” – Students may underline or highlight idiom in the sentence rather than rewrite it. Make your best effort to decode and explain the meaning for each.
