Today we learned about Limericks.  These fun, five-line poems are almost musical in nature and have a very distinct rhythm and rhyme pattern.  Be sure to carefully re-read the explanation in the packet before you construct your own and consult it as needed.  Here is a classic example of limerick rhythm and rhyme:

Hickory-dickory dock,

The mouse ran up the clock.

      The clock struck ten,

       He ran home again,

Hickory-dickory dock.

HW: Using the packet worksheet, create 3 original limericks.
