Today we learned about the poetry form known as the Clerihew.  (See Bonus #3)  In the students packet is a page explains this humorous form.  We had fun with several examples and some classes created some to share with the class.  Clerihews often feature famous people, so students were instructed to complete the two clerihews on the front of the sheet with famous names.  On the back, students were to follow the directions and create at least 4 original clerihews for classmates and/or people in school.  (Remember, nothing disrespectful or hurtful.)

HW: Finish 2 clerihews about famous people and at least 4 about people at school.
