Today we learned about Diamonte poems.  These shape poems are fun and easy and feature two contrasting subjects.  (If you were absent read the page carefully and complete front and back.)  We wrote 4 Diamontes.  Next we reviewed the simplest of the rhyming poems, the Couplet.  Students completed the page by creating 4 new couplets.

We also spent any remaining time making sure we had found at least 5 poems we liked from the poem collection books and copying them.  Then silent reading in the poem books.

HW: None. (Unless you didn’t finish your Diamontes and Couplets… )
