Today we continued in our Poetry Portfolios. We reviewed the “Metaphor” poem, discussed how metaphors can say a lot with a little and can give writing tone, mood, and “flavor.” We finished creating the 15 new metaphors on the worksheet (in packet). Next we read the Name Poem page and students created one for their own name and one for someone else they know. (On the back of the name poem page in packet)
