Here’s your next Challenge:

What kind of poem has 5 lines and a total of 31 syllables?  Also, how many syllables are in each line?  – You only need to be a little resourceful to find the answers! :)

Same as before, first correct response from each class period gets the bonus!

“Tanka” is a 31 syllable poem (one line in Japanese)in five lines with the syllabic pattern:

Ms. Scott. We sent the wrong poem. Here is a better one that follows the pattern of a Tanka poem:

Pooka, white Rezmutt;
Brown-eyes, brown-nosed, white-faced friend;
Curious, alert;
Doorknob jiggles, key unlocks–
Master? Tail wags, let’s go walk?

I think the answer is a tanka. The first and third line have 5 syllables and the other 3 lines have 7 syllables.
